"We were good all week. We dominated Friday night. I guess we peaked too early. Saturday night the track was pretty similar, but right before the main event, they put a little mist of water on it. When that track is wet, I generally struggle. It was just enough water to knock our setup off enough to play into the hands of other people. We got off the line second, had a shut-off contest with Will Davis going into one off the start. He set sail and split. I really couldn't match his pace. About the fourth or fifth lap, Brett Landes got by me, I was pretty much in his way. He got by and stretched a gap on me. It stayed fairly even after that. The guy on my mind wasn't in the main event, so I didn't want to do anything stupid. The guy that I'm trying to beat for the championship was sitting up in the stands watching. I was fairly content to take what we got, and third is what we got."
