Springer Romps, Carr Salvages Third.

43-year-old Jay Springsteen ran away with the win at Hagerstown, as the series sprang back to action after a two-month break. Chris fought back from a mediocre start to charge on to the podium for third.

Carr and Springer "We were running a solid fourth most of the race. We got an okay start from the second row, I think I was eighth at the start. I started picking guys up one at a time, and was running a pretty solid fourth for most of the race. Springer was gone, there wasn't anyone on the same planet with him on that particular night. Davis was a solid second. Hayden and Atherton were third and fourth and I was running fifth. Then Will went out with a flat tire with about five laps to go. About the time that Nick Hayden had caught Atherton and those two started racing, I was able to catch 'em both real quick and in the last couple of laps was able to get by Atherton, but I ran out of time on Hayden. I started making a move to the front, and we ended up third. Considering where we started, on a track that's tough to pass on, we were pretty pleased. We rode there last year and finished sixth, to be able to move up three spots form what we had done a year ago was pretty pleasing for us."

A week off for the riders before traveling to Delaware for the pea-gravel half-mile at Harrington.
