"Las Vegas was one of those deals where the pressure was off from winning the championship. We really had nothing to lose. With Toby Jorgensen passing away the night before, I just wanted to go out and ream. Even though the track conditions were pretty deplorable, I wanted to go out and do well. I had a great race-long duel with Will Davis and I came up a little short at the end. I had a couple of runs at him, I even ran into him one time. It was one of those things where we didn't get the win, but we had a hard-fought second."
The season concludes next week at the Del Mar Mile.
