Less than Stellar Night for Carr in Chicago.

After two consecutive Grand National wins vaulted Chris into the points lead, a setup error and some bad luck contributed to a tenth place finish on a sultry night at the Route 66 Raceway event just South of Chicago.

Will Davis took the win, putting him ever-closer to Carr in the point standings. The next event is this weekend in Hutchison, Kansas.

"Joliet started off great. We were blazing in practice, we were the fastest guys throughout practice, we went out and won our scratch heat. Even though it wasn't the fastest heat, we were running pretty good. We had a great heat race and sat on the pole for the main event. A combination of me not riding all that well in the main event and us missing out setup, our choice on tires, we pretty much stunk! No other way to put it, but we went backwards, not in a hurry, but in a nice, steady fashion. We got off the line about fourth and guys just kept picking me off, and I was doing everything I could to keep 'em behind me. The harder I rode, the worse it got. It was one of those days where you kind of sit there and figure they hand you your butt and you go on to the next one."
