Willie, who charged from the back to finish an impressive fourth at the Daytona opener, is a Champion in his own right. He won the Harley-Davidson Sportster Performance Championship back to back in 1999 and 2000. Last year Willie finished 15th in the AMA Progressive Insurance GNC Series.
Willie's association with the team dates back a number of years. "When I built my first Harley XR750 in 1991, Chris's tuner Kenny Tolbert helped me and I have worked out of Kenny's shops ever since. Kenny has given me assistance with my motors and Chris has always been there to give me advice and help me along as well," said Willie.
"Having Bubba Bentley as my full time tuner," continued Willie, "is going to take a huge load off my back. Now I can focus on riding and training almost every day. With all the support, my goals are to win my first Grand National main event, and finish in the top five in points."
Mike Dennis from the Quality Checked Certified Pre-Owned Ford division supports the new two rider team. "Chris thought adding a teammate would be beneficial and we agreed," said Dennis. "Willie is not only a great guy but a great rider as well. He will be an asset to our program.
