2006 - Carr won AMA Grand National Twins Championship races at Springfield, Ill. (May 28) and Hagerstown, Md... In the AMA Grand National Singles Championship, Carr won the Sept. 2, Springfield, Ill. race, and earned an additional series podium finish at Castle Rock, Wash... Won the AMA National Hot Shoe and Expert Hot Shoe races at Savannah, Ga... Raced with Ford Quality Checked/Harley-Davidson/KTM... Carr also piloted the BUB Enterprises streamliner to a new World Motorcycle Land Speed record at the Bonneville salt flats.
2005 - Chris Carr captured his seventh Grand National dirt track title, his fifth in a row, adding four more wins to his total of 72. Only Scott Parker has more titles or wins. Once again sponsored by Ford Quality Checked Pre-Owned Vehicles, Carr and teammate Willie McCoy rolled thorugh the year as the team to beat. With wins at the Joliest Half-Mile and victories at three of the four Mile races, including Springfield, Syracuse, and DuQuoin, Carr's consistency and experience paid off and his Kenny Tolbert-tuned KTMs and Harleys didn't let him down, as they didn't suffer a single DNF throughout the season.
2004 - With a dominating performance, Chris took his sixth Grand National Championship, winning six races and finishing on the podium four more times in 2004. Showing unmatched verstility, Chris won on half-miles, miles, a short track, and an indoor concrete short track at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Added a second member to the Ford Quality Checked Team, long-time Grand National racer Willie McCoy. Partnered with Austrian manufacturer KTM, running a stock-framed motocrosser in some short tracks and TTs. Increased his career short track win total to eight with two more wins and pushed his career race win total to 68.
2003 - For the third consecutive year and the fifth time in his career, Chris Carr won the AMA Grand National Championship. Carr now trails only Scott Parker, nine-time champion, in career titles. He also became the all-time short track win leader, winning three in 2003 and surpassing legends Kenny Roberts and Steve Eklund with six career victories. Five more overall wins pushed his lifetime total to 62, making Carr the winningest active rider in Grand National competition. To top it all off, Carr took the coveted Speed Channel Athlete of the Year Award at the season-ending AMA gala.
2002 - Carr won his fourth AMA Grand National Championship, becoming only the third man in history to win four or more titles...Three more wins brought Carr's career victory total to 57, second on the all-time list...Two of those wins came at the famed Springfield Mile, extending his streak to an amazing five in a row at that track...Nominated for AMA Athlete of the Year and Cycle News Rider of the Year..Another significant milestone was Carr's successful partnership with Ford Motor Company, title sponsor of the 2002 effort.
2001 - Changes in rules and sponsorship meant that Carr went back to the AMA Grand National Series full-time following a year spent winning the F-USA title...after a bit of a slow start, Carr racked up nine wins, including his thirteenth Peoria TT, and his fiftieth GNC victory...the total included three wins at the famed Springfield Mile, another record for a single season..a third Championship was his, although bittersweet after the loss of his good friend Will Davis in a racing accident at Sedalia.
2000 - With the dawning of a new series promoted by Supercross giants SFX, Chris decided to attempt titles in two series, theirs and the traditional AMA Grand Nationals...with title sponsorship from wrenchead.com, the inagural SFX title was Carr's with two wins at Portland and Phoenix..the AMA title was more difficult, as his commitment to the SFX series forced him to miss crucial rounds...second place was still an amazing feat considering his busy schedule.
1999 - Chris took control of the points lead early and held off the charges of Scott Parker and Rich King until the end, clinching his second career championship at Sacramento...Five wins along with nine additional podium finishes boosted Carr's AMA career win total to 42...Chris also was a top contender for the AMA's Rider of the Year honors...Voted 1999 Rider of the Year by Cycle News.
1998 - late in the season, Carr led the Grand National series and was in contention for a second championship title, with three wins and nine podium finishes... Finished the season as a runner-up for the title... Carr also competed in the AMA's MBNA Superbike series aboard a Harley-Davidson VR1000, and entered the AMA Formula Xtreme road race at the Laguna Seca Raceway where he took second place.
1997 - Carr raced in the MBNA Superbike Series for Harley-Davidson and had four top-10 finishes, best finishes were seventh-place at Sears Point and New Hampshire Int'l. Speedway.
1996 - Had five top-10 finishes and earned Harley-Davidson its first and only AMA Superbike pole at Pomona... Top Superbike finish was fifth at Sears Point... Devoted his full attention to AMA Superbike racing.
1995 - Signed with Harley-Davidson to compete in AMA Superbike... First season in AMA Superbike competition... Earned AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year... One top-10 Superbike finish (Loudon)... Won three Grand National Dirt Track events.
1994 - Second-ranked Grand National Dirt Track rider.
1993 - Second-ranked Grand National Dirt Track rider.
1992 - Won AMA Grand National Dirt Track Championship.

Personal
A dirt track novice in 1983, he turned pro in 1985, earned rookie of the year honors, and ran the Grand National Series full-time until 1995, his first full season of road racing... He knew he'd arrived in pro racing with his first Grand National victory at the age of 19... He loves the Peoria TT AMA Grand National race and really enjoys the challenge of the Elkhart Lake road course... Considers Kenny Roberts his road racing hero... Off-track activities include playing "too much golf," reading books and spending time with wife Pam and sons Cale and Cameron... Part owner of American Supercamp, a nationally reknowned dirt track school taught on 100cc bikes... 1992, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 AMA Grand National Dirt Track Champion, 2000 Formula USA Dirt Track Champion and seven-time AMA 600cc Dirt Track Champion.
